Peter is a Principal Air Quality Consultant with over 20 years’ experience and specialist knowledge in the field of Air Quality. He began his career as an Air Quality Scientist measuring emissions from industrial processes. This role later developed to include the commissioning, calibration and servicing of ambient monitoring equipment. 

 

Peter has a combined background, in technical roles and the last ten years in a consultancy role. His consultancy experience has included project management, atmospheric dispersion modelling, environmental effects assessments (AEE), hazardous release modelling, odour treatment system design, landfill gas, workplace exposure assessments and odour monitoring. Peter has also been involved in assessing applications for regulators and has been called upon to provide expert evidence at the Environment Court and as part of the Council resource consent hearing process.

 

Peter has been accredited by the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) as a Certified Air Quality Professional (CAQP). 

Lydia Stevens

Field Odour Scout


Lydia Stevens is a third-year student pursuing her conjoint degree at the University of Auckland.

 

In her part time position with AQCNZ, Lydia serves as an Odour Field Scout and Assessor, undertaking a multifaceted role that encompasses both field and office responsibilities.

 Lydia is primarily involved with conducting fieldwork as an odour scout and assessor across various locations in New Zealand. In addition to her field duties, Lydia assists Peter in the office with the preparation of air quality assessments and report writing.
